Using this training
In creating this course we have attempted to capture the 'live' training experience of Dartfish Certified Instructors and putting it online. Demonstrations have been substituted by videos. Further explanation and context is provided by text notes like this one, and where the instructor might give you a handout, links to PDF files or websites are provided. The one thing you can't do is stick up your hand and ask a question but the Your Questions Answered sections draw on our experience of questions frequently asked by learners.
Making what you learn 'stick'
When you book yourself on a face-to-face training course you set aside time and mentally commit yourself to learning, so we suggest you take the same approach to this training too:
|►||Set aside time in your schedule to learn and try to avoid distractions and interruptions.|
|►||Take time to practice what you learn.|
|►||Don't try to learn too much. One advantage of this form of training is that you can choose how much information you can digest at one time.|
What you need
|►||Internet connection to access online information|
|►||Flash Player Some of the animations use the Adobe Flash plug-in. Most computers are already equipped, but if yours isn't you can install it from the Adobe website.|
|►||Silverlight Player Some of the videos use the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. This is easily installed by clicking the Silverlight logo if it appears.|
|►||Adobe PDF reader Most computers already have this document reader software. It can be installed from the Adobe website.|
